Fans to miss Yuvraj, Lee, Irfan's charm

CHANDIGARH: City girls are going to miss local lad Yuvraj Singh when the Kings XI Punjab would take on its rivals in IPL 4. Many said though they would support the Kings XI for being the home team, but they would certainly miss the presence of Yuvraj Singh, Brett Lee, S Sreesanth and Irfan Pathan.
Where Yuvraj's and Brett Lee's looks were best selling for the team in past seasons, amusing personality of Sreesanth was also admired by the youth.
"I wish Sreesanth was in Kings XI as he was my favourite player. He has an entertaining and cool personality. Apart from playing cricket, he is a good dancer. From last three seasons we are praying for the victory of team. Lets hope, this reshuffle is not going to affect the performance of team," said, Vandhana, student from Panjab University.
Though the craze to see the young players of the Punjab squad is also rising among the city residents but after seeing the performance of Yuvraj in World Cup, supporters of Kings XI are missing his presence more.
"For the last three seasons I have been cheering for Yuvraj and Brett Lee. Because of their appealing looks they are favourite among the girls. I am definitely going to miss the charm of our local boy, Yuvi should have been part of team," said, Ritu Sagar, resident of Sector-49.
Fever of Cricket is on the heads of the youth and curiosity for the young international players is also rising among the youngsters. Huge enthusiasm was quite evident among the young girls who are gearing up to see the international players Stuart Broad and Shaun Marsh.
"Though we do not have Yuvraj and Bret Lee this time in our team but Shaun Marsh is also good looking member of the team. He is Middle-order batsman and all my hopes are on him now. I just want to see Punjab team winning the IPL, so what if the team is not having players of earlier season. At present team is filled with good players, said," Saba Naaz, resident of sector- 22.
Another student Anchal Shukla said, "My favourite player is Yuvraj Singh. He is not just good player, he has also got attractive looks. I have a collection of jerseys which has his name on it. I will miss his presence in the team."
Manpreet Kaur said, "Brett Lee is my favourite from past five years. He has great looks and appealing personality. I wish he would have played for the Punjab team. He has given tremendous performance for Punjab in last three seasons."
Gursimrat Pal Singh said, "Punjab squad had great bowlers earlier, especially Brett Lee, Yusuf and Sreesanth. I wish for victory of Punjab as Yuvraj's magic will also be missing this year. I hope new faces bags win for the team."
Kapil Goyal said, "Being from Punjab, definitely I would be supporting Kings XI. Of course, after seeing the performance of Yuvraj, I wish he should have been in the team. I hope Adam Gilchrist brings good luck to the team."
Indu Chaudhary said, "Yuvraj and Sreesanth are my favourite players. They both are attractive and icon of youth. They both have given excellent performance this year in World cup and test matches. I am a huge fan of Kings XI and I will be praying for their victory this year."
Divya Nanda said, "I am missing the charisma of smart boys in the team of Kings XI. Yusuf Pathan, Brett Lee and Yuvraj were my favourites in Kings XI. They should have been part of Punjab team."
